Bar Pass Rate Rises at Albany Law, Falls Statewide

Rising three percentage points from last year, Albany Law School’s pass rate for first-time test takers for July 2012 was 81.5 percent, up from 78.2 percent last year, while the statewide average rate dropped.

Family Violence Project to Expand Services to Immigrant Victims

The law school and the New York Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence recently launched the Immigration Project, which will offer legal services to domestic violence victims with unclear or undocumented immigration status.

Raffle for South African Trip to Support Student Summer Fellowships

President and Dean Penelope (Penny) Andrews was honored with the Haywood Burns-Shanara Gilbert Award at the North East People of Color Conference (NEPOC) at Suffolk Law School in Boston on Oct. 26.

Crummey and McCardle Win Client Counseling Competition

Carol Crummey '13 and Jonathan McCardle '13 emerged triumphantly as the winners of the the law school's Donna Jo Morse Client Counseling Competition. The pair will go on to represent Albany Law at the American Bar Association Client Counseling Regional Competition in February 2013.
