    Complimentary Continuing Legal Education for Classes of 2007, 2008 and 2009

    Albany Law School, in cooperation with the National Alumni Association and the Institute of Legal Studies, will provide 32 hours of transitional continuing legal education credits available free of charge to all graduates of the Classes of 2007, 2008 and 2009. These credit hours will be offered in a series of courses with enrollment limited to Albany Law School graduates of these years.
     
    The courses will be offered in four-hour blocks at Albany Law School from 8 a.m. - noon and 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. during the last two weekends in October.  (Friday, October 23 & Saturday, October 24 and Friday, October 30 & Saturday, October 31)
     
    The courses will cover Law Office Management, Nuts and Bolts of Criminal Law, Basics of a Law Suit (State and Federal Court), Drafting of Basic Wills & Trusts, An Introduction to Real Estate Transactions, The Basics of Negotiation for Newer Lawyers, Family Law Basics and Ethics for New Attorneys.
     
    These topics have been selected to help recent graduates develop a foundation in the practical skills, techniques and procedures that are essential to the practice of law.  Courses will be taught by Albany Law School faculty and alumni.
